In 2000, Kineticom opened its doors in San Diego, California. Today, Kineticom is an industry frontrunner working across 47 states and five Canadian provinces to provide staffing and professional services to growing businesses throughout North America.

  • 2000
    • Founded by Steve Orr, Paul Roebuck and Simon Billsberry
    • Awarded first project and re-engineered and outsourced staffing function with international software company
  • 2001
    • Signed first national support contract
  • 2002
    • Deployed international specialist teams to a carrier project in Latin America
    • Launched UK subsidiary (Kineticom Ltd.); launched as a base to deploy talent throughout Europe
    • Won exclusive contract to support nationwide 911 project
  • 2003
    • Won contract to support nationwide BTS project
    • Deployed Radio Optimization and Performance Engineers for Nationwide 3G (UMTS) upgrade project in the UK
    • Designed and launched the Talent Care department
  • 2004
    • Awarded ISO 9001-2000 certification
    • Named telecom industry veteran Glen Estell as Chairman of the Board
    • Appointed telecom industry veteran Tom Munro, and global venture capital and legal expert Rob Ayling, to Board of Directors
    • Completed managed services project in Saudi Arabia for 2.5G/GPRS upgrade

    • Achieved record growth rate, charting 5X revenue increase from previous year.
    • Identified by Inc. Magazine as #33 on its prestigious list of 500 Fastest Growing Companies for 2005
    • Explosive revenue growth earned Kineticom distinction as San Diego’s second fastest growing company in 2005, according to The San Diego Business Journal
    • Deemed the staffing industry’s #1 “Fastest Growing Private Company,” according to Staffing Industry Analysts, Inc.
    • Won 2005 American Business “Stevie Award” for redefining staffing industry model
  • 2006
    • Launched Kineticom IT and Emerging technology division
    • Won preferred supplier status with a global wireless provider in the UK and Ireland, and onsite consulting contract to support nationwide 2G swap / 3G network upgrades in the Republic of Ireland
    • Signed as strategic talent partner to leading global telecommunications provider in EMEA and Asia
    • Supplied 3G engineers to national upgrade project in Saudi Arabia
    • Signed first US based RPO engagement with a market leader in IPTV content
  • 2007
    • Engaged as supplier to a multinational wireless provider in Hong Kong and Taiwan
    • Signed first deal to provide IT application and network support talent across western region
    • Launched worldwide talent campaign to attract and deploy 3G engineers across the US
  • 2008
    • Established Southeast presence in Tampa, FL
    • Kineticom Limited was sold to Kineticom Limited’s minority Shareholder
    • Signed contract to provide national network planning and engineering support for a major carrier on a 4 year initiative
  • 2009
    • Established Kineticom Canada, Inc. in Toronto, Ontario
    • Opened a regional office in San Francisco, CA
    • Established South Central presence in Dallas, TX
  • 2010
    • Made Inavero’s 2010 Best of Staffing – Candidate list
    • Opened a regional office in Atlanta, GA
    • Expanded Kineticom Canada, Inc. into Calgary, Alberta
    • Expanded Kineticom Canada, Inc. into Vancouver, British Columbia

    • CEO, Simon Billsberry named as an Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Finalist
    • Established regional presence in Kansas City, KS
    • Achieved 44% in Annual Revenue growth
    • Signed first contract to support 4G technology role out

    • Established K2COM Services, a wholly owned subsidiary of Kineticom, Inc. and teamed up with client to provide nationwide tower support
    • Opened regional office in Brentwood, TN

    • Recognized as one of the largest, privately held companies with headquarters located in San Diego County by the San Diego Business Journal
    • For the first time in history, Kineticom secured and maintained over 50 active wireless and IT client contracts
    • Provided first multi-national support for major IT hardware vendor and services company
    • Secured contract to support 4G technology in Canada
    • Achieved national vendor status with a major public Canadian communications and Media Company
    • Attained Tier 1 status in Canada with one of the largest professional services firms in the world
